Burgess Hill town is fast growing and ideal for families, senior citizens and commuters alike. On the outskirts of the South Downs National Park, there is a variety available from the convenience of the towns shops and local leisure centre, as well as pursuing outdoor activities (from cycling, horse riding, and dog walking).
There are two railway stations, Burgess Hill and Wivelsfield that provide local links to towns such as Brighton and Lewes, as well as a quicker service to Gatwick and London.
The town also hosts a range of good schools, both primary and secondary, as well as plenty of nursery and preschools to choose from.
The hub of the community are the Burgess Hill Town FC (The Hillians), the local Rugby team (Burgess Hill rugby club) and Burgess Hill Cricket Club which are family focussed events where there is a deep sense of community spirit.
Our sunny day recommendations are...
A lovely visit to St Johns Park which boasts cafe, cricket pitch, tennis courts, skatepark and playground.
There are a variety of golf centres and for a day out with friends why not visit Burgess Hill Golf Centre.
Walk the dogs and kids around the beautiful Bedelands Nature Reserve.
Let the kids improve their bike skills at the BMX track.
When the weather is not so great why not visit...
The Triangle Leisure Centre which boasts a range of activities, from swimming pools including rapids and flumes, to court activities, as well as exercise classes and soft play for the little ones.
The town also offers a small two-screen cinema The Orion, so you can treat the family to a cosy movie afternoon.
